DINING BY DESIGN RETURNS TO THE MERCHANDISE MART Extraordinarily decorated tabletops will excite the imagination of all! The Merchandise Mart and Champagne Taittinger present the apex of Chicago design talent at ELLE DÉCOR'S Dining By Design, October 1-4, 2003. This visually breath-taking event features wildly imaginative tables created by a combination of today's most prominent artists and designers. This world-class fundraising event is commonly called the "Cannes" of tabletop with proceeds benefiting DIFFA (The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS). ELLE DÉCOR'S Dining by Design debuted in October 2002 and attracted hundreds of designers, artists and members of the community. It was truly an evening to be remembered (see below for highlights). With elaborate tabletop designs ranging from elegant to whimsical, the 2003 event will be much larger and even more spectacular! These over-the-top designs can be viewed at your leisure during special public viewing hours. You can also enjoy this exquisite display in a whole new light at Champagne Taittinger's Bubble Blast, where champagne and music will flow freely. Take a piece of the inspiration home by participating in a silent auction featuring an array of donated items ranging from entire milieus to centerpieces from various tabletops. DINING
