Design Teams Unveiled
Metropolitan Home and The Washington Design Center have assembled a premier group of designers to develop the Modern with a Capital M Design House this fall. Each room will define modernism as design teams showcase innovation and luxury with a taste of D.C. flare. To kick off the Modern with a Capital M Design House there will be a Grand Opening Party on Thursday, September 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The house will open to the public on Friday, September 29, and run through December 16, 2006. Fendi Casa to Open at the WDC
Since Karl Lagerfield’s creation of the inverted “FF” logo, Fendi has been known as the style icon, both in handwork and craftsmanship, for ready-to-wear fur and leather goods. Evolving from its fashion roots, Fendi Casa developed its furniture collection to be held to those same standards. 
Twenty years since its conception and two years since opening its first U.S. showroom in Miami, Fendi Casa will open its doors at The Washington Design Center. Specializing in custom wooden furniture and textile accessories made of leather and fur, Fendi Casa will add a new sleek presence to The Washington Design Center.
