Lounge Room

What could be easier than designing a sports lounge for a “Potomac Fever”-themed design house? My inspiration? The Redskins, the Caps, the Wizards and the Nats. All the fabrics and flooring are durable, cleanable and built to hold up season after season, play-off after play-off. The chairs, ottomans and chaise lounges are all made in the U.S.A., in environmentally-friendly manufacturing facilities, with recycled content. These pieces and more are all from my own furniture collection, “Slob Proof!” with Crypton, and available exclusively in the Pugrant showroom of the Washington Design Center. My room is also a tribute to American men and women serving overseas. I’m honored to represent the Washington Navy Yard in my design space and we are thrilled to feature their photographs and mementos. The Navy Yard is the oldest shore establishment of the U.S. Navy and was vital in defending Washington, D.C. in the War of 1812. Because of our room’s connection to the historic Navy Yard, we have partnered with HeroBoxes, a non-profit organization that provides needed items to deployed American soldiers while they are away from home defending our freedom. A generous percentage of profit from the sale of “Slob Proof! with Crypton” furniture and accessories in the Sports Lounge will help pay for HeroBoxes being sent to soldiers around the world this holiday season.
