William (Bill) Tarleton is a1956 graduate of The University of the Arts College in Philadelphia. His career began with the distinguished firm of Gray Associates in Pennsylvania. Bill, came to Baltimore in the 1960s to work at the Louis Mazor Design Studio. In 1980, he opened his own design firm, Tarleton Interiors Inc. Katherine Tarleton, his wife, joined Tarleton Interiors in 1991, after working as a interior designer at her own company. As a husband and wife team, they have been creating classic interiors for the past 17 years. Katherine and Bill are the masters of many styles. With their wide range of knowledge in architecture, many of their projects begin at the planning stage of construction. They translate their clients’ tastes and desires into timeless classic interiors that the client otherwise might not have been able to achieve on their own. Clean lines high-quality furnishings, unique accessories and collectable art are the elements that will achieve a harmoniously balanced interior. Many of their inspirations come from travel and celebrated designers’ work of the past, such as Billy Baldwin, Dorothy Draper and William Hines. The Tarletons always strive to achieve their clients’ dreams and aspirations with a clear vision. Quality workmanship, timeless design and a firm sense of scale and proportion help create their stylish environments for years to come. |
