Welcome to the Washington Design Center’s 2012 DreamHome. Design Craft is a creative partnership with the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Renwick Gallery and its exhibit, 40 Under 40: Craft Futures, which is open July 20, 2012 – Feb. 3, 2013.

We asked eight designers to choose a piece from this collection of craft by our country’s most talented emerging artists, and those pieces serve as the inspiration for each room design.
