Designer on Call

The Washington Design Center welcomes consumers who are not currently using an interior design professional. Our consumer buying service allows you to purchase “to-the-trade” items from our designer showrooms through an on-call designer who is here each day.

In conjunction with your purchase, the program offers a one-hour consultation with with that designer without charge or obligation. You can use this hour in any way you choose: To review floor plans; ask color questions; or find solutions for your design challenges so the piece you are buying here will fit seamlessly into your home.

 How It Works:

The buying service gives you access to top-of-the line designer products that are otherwise available only to the trade.

Upon completion and submission of the online request form, a designer will contact you by telephone to explain further how the service works. You are encouraged to be prepared with information as to the products you wish to purchase or search for, your space measurements, paint/fabric swatches, etc.

Next, you can schedule an appointment to meet with the designer at The Washington Design Center. He or she can direct you to specific showrooms that will meet your needs or provide you with a free one-hour consultation, which can also include shopping for desired items with him or her by your side.

You will have the option to continue with that designer as his or her personal design client in accordance with his or her company’s fees and policies. Alternatively, if you seek more guidance beyond that first hour, we encourage you to select a designer from our online Find-A-Designer portfolio at www.dcdesigncenter.com/findadesigner.
