In a career spanning over three decades, Dakota Jackson has been one of the leading figures in American furniture design. Since the early seventies, when he emerged as a major contributor to the Art Furniture movement, each of his seminal designs has been a combination of exquisite craft, intriguing engineering and original form.

"It's been an amazing 100 years!" remarks American designer Dakota Jackson. "We have witnessed endless swings in the design world as it has both led and mirrored the cultural, social, political, economic and technological imperatives of the past century."

Jackson's discussion will weave moments from his personal career spanning 40 years with the era's broader movements and markers to imagine where the future may lead us as we all face the challenge of designing for our times.
